Fantastic view of sea. Easy access to beach and to gpod local restaurants for dinner. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the bar and bedroom were full of antiques and bags of character.

Absolutely beautiful place. Fab views and eay walk on privaye pathway to the beach. Spotlessly clean. Staff so friendly and welcoming and really tasty breakfast. Stayed in 'the bunker' which was just gorgeous. Unfortunately we were only stopping off for 1 night. Had the best night's sleep I've had in years. Will be back! Would score 11 out if 10 if I could.

Super Lage, das gesamte Personal liefert einen super Service und ist sehr, sehr nett!! Das Hotel hat ein wunderschönes Ambiente, ist liebevoll und wunderschön restauriert!!! Das Frühstück ist super und das allerwichtigste, es das sauberste Hotel in Schottland und Orkney das wir gesehen haben!! Preis - Leistung ein Hammer und sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Breakfast was very good.

I was put in the St Andrews room which is a room off the main staircase in the attic and is suitable for a small child. I have stayed at the hotel before and had no complaints however when I booked this time, again through booking.com, I selected a twin room. Unfortunately I didn't notice that on the confirmation this had changed to a budget single. The access to the room is awkward and not the safest. The bed, which is suitable for a small child, is built into the wall and the two pillows were hard and flat as pancakes. When I found sleep impossible I got up in the middle of the night to add my folded bath towel to the pillows so did eventually get a sleep for a few hours. As I was up in the attic space it was also very noisy when other guests were chatting and moving around. Very disappointing. I would recommend that the owner tries to sleep in that room for a night with those pillows and sees how he gets on.
