Spacious & great bathroom

Needs a smart TV and a better mattress for optimal comfort. Cleaning service for R200 is excessive. Gas stove for kettle was fiddly and potable water should really be provided.

The area is quite beautiful and quiet

-They didn’t have a smart TV , just boring tv programs . Thought that was bad for the price they charge. - the pots were old and not clean , horrible to cook with. - the water was very dirty, even for bathing - I requested an iron for my clothes and was not helped.

The team went out of their way to make us feel welcome—even calling to check on us when we were running late, which was such a thoughtful touch. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get—no surprises, just a beautiful, peaceful setting that feels like a true escape. The space is well-equipped with everything you could need, and for anything extra, the shops are just a few minutes away. The natural surroundings are a dream. The calming river, towering trees, and even the chance to spot a few monkeys all come together to create a tranquil, unforgettable atmosphere. River Rock is more than just a place to stay—it's an experience I won’t forget. Highly recommended!
