This is my second time. The place has considerably improved the terrace-garden space. So I was happy to enjoy the green space even when it rained. In general one can see the place is taken care of and cleaning takes place all the time. everything in the kitchen functions, the lounge is great with the sofa, wooden roof and entrance to the garden. The metro is actually very close and it is a quiet residential area.

The interior room is a bit humid, but in Porto this is hard to avoid.

"Doable but not great for the price."

4.0

Stay like a Local, in a quiet neighborhood on Francos Metro line. Use the metro and feel like a local.

Location was a bit far, not much nearby in terms of food had to uber eats, the bed was not clean there were long black hairs in the bedding, the room was constantly damp, no idea why, mildew? strange smell in the room. I just left a night early without a refund on that night. I think the price should be close to half for this. Also, the check-in was a bit stressful, they give you the instructions at very last minute.

The apartment itself is nice and cosy; ideal to be rented by a family or a group of friends. The communication with the hosts was good.

The place is a normal apartment (not a hotel/hostel) that you will be sharing with other guests. There is no soundproofing, so the experience will largely depend on the other guests – ours wasn't great. Our room was located by the corridor, just in front of the main entrance and a shared toilet, meaning that we could hear all the noises in the corridor. But what was worse, the only window in the room (and the only chance to ventilate the small room) faced the living room/kitchen area. During our stay, there was constantly someone watching television, listening to music, or having loud conversations, and even with the window closed, all this noise came into the room, waking us up every morning. Also, there was some construction work going on in the building during our stay, so on top of the other noises, the construction noises started early in the morning during the week. In other words, there was no privacy, nor did we get much rest. Additionally, as was mentioned in some earlier comments, the heat regulation in the shower didn't always work well, meaning that the temperature varied randomly during the shower from cold to very hot. Maybe this is due to someone else using the hot water in another toilet/kitchen at the same time; again, not an issue if sharing the flat with friends, but not so nice when renting just one room.

"Nice place, a bit out of centre, near metro, with all you need at hand, and nice terrace for summer."

8.0

Nice place with a nice terrace, that probably will be very good in the summer. The bathroom and the living room was a bit cold, at the time I was there. It is possible to get the heat in the room. Check in was automatic, so it was some issues with leaving the city tax (I had to put it in the box, and forgot I could leave it for the cleaning lady; not for the host for departure, but remembered before I left though.). Was possible to leave luggage some time after departure. Was a coffee maker, and cleaning staff would leave some pods, the host said. (The first woman didn't automatically, but found some when I asked. The girl that was there when I left, left a generous amount though.) I fell in love with the cat in the backyard. The last morning it was some construction work starting in the building, why I finally decided not to extend. Communication with the hosts, that I did not meet in person, went smoothly through phone though. A bit out of centre, but shops (supermercados) and cafés nearby

I think the biggest disadvantage was the mixture of people staying at the same time. Where people were from different worlds might not have so much wish to interact. (Person in the room with private bathroom, seemed to want his privacy, closing the door to the common area when he was there, and in the other room there was someone that was out at night, so it was a bit disturbance due to that.) So not very good soundproofing. That the living room was a bit cold in the winter. Check in is online, with the city tax and all, that brought a bit stress when I had booked at short notice. When I extended, first one or two nights, there was some coordination issues, so he code to the door was not reactivated simultaneously. (Same happened to the person that was out at night; he came home very early in the morning, and I let him in when he called the doorbell. He hadn't done the same for me, when I called the door an earlier evening. As his music was on in the room, so clearly he didn't want to be involved in what was none of his business.).

"Lovely stay, felt at home!"

The room was amazing and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Porto. The room and the common areas were spotless clean. The location was great, only a few minutes from the metro station. We loved it and we definitely will come back!
