Exotique, charmant, romantique

Well, we like our accomodations calm and clean, with a really nice owner and staff who care for us and are well connected, good food, a place where interesting fellow travellers like to meet and not the least, a solid Wifi connection. Kafana ticks all the boxes and the location and views are just amazing.

...leaving Kafana and Elephantine Island was difficult..we should have stayed longer..

Guesthouse exceptionnelle, sur la rive ouest de l'île elephantine, au calme. Très jolie terrasse où il fait bon rêver en regardant passer les felouques et les oiseaux. Mohamed est un hôte formidable, d'un gentillesse hors du commun, ne sachant que faire pour nous rendre service, de même qu'Arhmed le taxi boat et la souriante jeune femme à son service. Il fait bon vivre à la Kafana house.

J'ai adoré séjourner chez Kafana. L'ambiance y est détendue, familiale et très chaleureuse. La vue depuis la terrasse est juste incroyable. Kafana est un hôte très attentionné. Il saura être disponible pour organiser votre séjour et suivra son bon déroulement. Son équipe est tout aussi adorable, merci à eux, et le restaurant est juste top ! Merci beaucoup Kafana d'avoir rendu mon séjour à Assouan si agréable !

Kafana est un hôte accueillant et prévenant, toujours disponible pour nous aider ou organiser des activités. Nous avons pu faire une balade en bateau avec son capitaine. La chambre est mignonne et calme. Le restaurant est délicieux et surtout la vue sur Le Nil magnifique.

La douche reste basique mais c’est propre.

This property offers superb views of the Nile with its own private terrace. Kafana is an extremely kind and accommodating host and the property also has a private boat to ferry people to and from the mainland pier. We did not try other meals but the breakfast we had there was great. Watching the sunset while relaxing by the Nile was definitely one of the highlands of our trip. Staying on the Elephantine Island is an experience in itself - I recommend that everyone tries it when coming to Aswan in order to experience the traditional Nubian lifestyle.

I absolutely loved my time at Kafana Guest House! All of the staff are attentive and friendly. They are very warm people and I was well looked after, more than I was expecting. The owner made sure I had transportation to and from the island and that I had all I needed. They coordinated airport transportation as well. The food was amazing and the portions are large. I ate all my meals in Aswan there. There wasn't any need to take a boat to go the city for food when there was high quality food there. I REALLY ate well! The guest house has a family vibe. It is calm and serene and has an amazing view. It's a great place for someone looking to unwind and relax.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The view is stunning and the staff is awesome, welcoming as a family !

Nice people and a beautiful location. It is on a quiet place of the island and Kafana does make you feel at home!
