I loved this place. Excellent chilled location and The owner was an absolute star. He could not have been more kind and helpful

Kafana guesthouse is a beautiful tranquil place on Elephantine island. It's an oasis of peace with simple and clean accommodations. The best part about the guesthouse, apart from being a hidden gem, is the owner Kafana himself and his meals and hospitality. If you are staying in Aswan, don't look further than Kafana and his guesthouse.

Beautiful location and helpful and very friendly owner and staff! Kafana can help arrange everything you need from airport transfers to tours to a boat ride. I would highly recommend using him because you will get door to door service as opposed to tour companies who say they will pick you up and then you find you have to use the ferry. His prices are also very good! Highly recommend staying here!

Une guest house très simple avec une vue superbe pour le Nil. D'excellents conseils pour les visites, notamment le tour en bateau avec Mustapha.

Evitez la chambre sans vue sur le Nil qui n'a pas de fenêtre sur l'extérieur et une salle de bains spartiate et préférez les chambres avec balcon.

If you are after an authentic, homely Nubian stay - this is perfect! Kafana was so helpful in helping us arrange tours (which were cheaper than Viator and other agencies and more convenient according to our own timings). He also picked us up and arranged all a the logistics. He truly made our stay so lovely. His guesthouse has recently been refurbished, in fact we saw some of the Nubian art being done live during our stay! So many good things to say! Also the food here is delicious!

La vue sur le Nil, incroyable! La grandeur et la propreté de la chambre Le calme de la terrasse La flexibilité de l’hôte Kafana pour les petits déjeuners à emporter et pour nous trouver un bateau pour traverser vers le continent à 5 heures du matin !

Les informations étaient un peu dures à obtenir car nous souhaitions voyager par nous-mêmes en dehors des agences. Nous avions une chambre avec une terrasse avec vue sur le Nil très belle, mais la nuit c’était assez bruyant à cause des bateaux qui passent donc peut-être dormir plutôt de l’autre côté et la terrasse commune est suffisante pour la vue
