York House

La cuesta tan empinada. Si no tienes vehículo, es complicado subir

Whoever has complained about York House must be very wealthy and entitled. The house was gorgeous and the pool area very quiet and private. My room was clean and met all my needs. The WiFi was excellent and it was quiet and private all day long.

There are no staff as such, because it's not a hotel! All you had to do was send a message to them on here and someone would get back to you! The nearest shop is not close at all so I'd recommend stocking up on food and water at the start of your visit rather than having to walk back and forth into town.

We really enjoyed our stay at York House. The pool was fantastic, it's in a great location (only a 20 minute walk from Lagos centre). We would have happily paid more for a few improvements to their amenities, for example double beds in every room & kitchen facilities. But overall everything was decent and we would stay again & recommend this place to others.

Unsere Erwartungen wurden vom Pool absolut übertroffen. Dieser ist wunderschön und groß - das Wasser ist angenehm frisch. Wir hatten ein Apartment mit eigenem Bad. Der Garten ist top gepflegt und der Pool macht einfach Spaß (siehe Bilder). Die kleine Küche ist auch sehr nützlich und Gäste haben dort auch gefrühstückt etc.. Direkt an unserem Apartment war der Zugang zum Pool möglich und wir hatten einen kleinen Tisch auf unserer eigenen Terrasse mit zwei Stühlen und einer am Haus befestigen Hängematte :) Der Strand Meia Praia ist wunderschön und zu Fuß in ca. 5 min zu erreichen. Wir sind aus Faro mit der Bahn für 5€ direkt zu Meis Praia gefahren und sind dann zehn min gelaufen. Vor Ort ist es sehr ratsam Uber zu verwenden, da es super billig ist. Mit Uber von York House nach Lagos Altstadt waren es ~3€ und es hat ca. 10 min gedauert! Wir waren so happy und wären gerne noch ein zwei Nächte länger geblieben :)))

So schön es auch war ist das York House dringend ein bisschen sanierungswürdig. Alles ist super alt. Unsere Dusche hatte keine Aufhängung für die Dusche, da diese leider abgerissen war. Dazu hat sich das Aluminium an der brause selber schon abgeblättert was auch nicht so angenehm war. Die Sauberkeit des Bodens war leider unseren Erachtens nach sehr schlecht - die Betten waren aber sehr sauber ebenso wie das Waschbecken und Klo. Außerdem war unser Zimmer sehr dunkel und es gab nur zwei standleuchten auf den Nachttischen. Für uns hat der Pool vor der Tür mit direktem Zugang aus unserem Zimmer aber das alles in den Schatten gestellt :)

it was nice villa style resort next to the beach. It has very good proximity to the beach but far from downtown. The whole villa is stylish with marvelous panorama view to the ocean

the rooms are spacious but the furniture are old-fashioned and a bit stinky. There are some appliances in the rooms that was only decorative purpose since it was not usable.
