The property and the owners are incredibly friendly, and I even extended my stay by one night because the location and the peacefulness – right in the middle of the city but completely quiet – are truly unbeatable. The atmosphere is charming and special.

That said, the rooms are very basic and a bit grubby. In my desperate search for a hairdryer, I opened all the cupboards and found quite a bit of trash left behind by previous guests. There were also used dental sticks next to the sink, which to me suggests the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned. I also wasn’t sure if the bedsheets had been changed – for the first time in my travels of three months, I took out my own sleeping bag. The same goes for the towels: I was only given one towel for hair, body, and hands, so I had to use my own as well. Additionally, the bathroom was full of ants – not the tiny ones, but really big ones. I must have killed around 25 of them in the first 24 hours. If you value location, quiet sleep in the heart of the city, and a unique atmosphere, this is a great choice. But if cleanliness is your top priority and you prefer showering without flip-flops, you might want to consider other options.

The location is really good. I could go to the center walking.

I didn't like that the bathroom had two holes where the tiles should be, so animals could get in. Besides the pillows being too high, I ended up not being able to use them.

It’s exactly like in the pictures, nice clean room. The location was perfect (close to the centre of Ubud, only 5-10 min walk) - the staff was very friendly!

The Ketut Kasta Guest House was amazing! We stayed here for four nights and had a wonderful time. The place with the big garden and the infinity pool is really beautiful and they maintain it with lots of love. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The owner is very kind and helpful, he helped us with transport and laundry. We can definitely recommend this place and would come back any time when we are in Ubud.

A great place to unwind after the hustle n bustle of the day. Set against nature n great hospitality, it was a truly superb experience
