A Welcome Break Hostal

A pleasant place to stay overnight on way to the Amazon. Central location, good facilities.

The staff were very friendly when checking us in and showing us around. The room was big and clean and the bathroom and showers very close to the room. The location is great, very close to the bus station, restaurants and shops.

The location was fine for the purposes of my stay. Good internet connection. Room was spacious.

The shared kitchen was a disappointment. The trash container was filled to the brim with wet garbage for a number of days. It resembled a buffet for rodents.The skillets hadn't been washed and all had a film of grease on them. At least the stove worked so that I could brew my coffee in the morning. The roar of motorcycles and cars could be heard racing throughout the night.

The location was great and the room was clean

We were unfortunately not allowed to eat something in our room. I understand it but we were really tired and then had to sit outside to eat our food we cooked and the kitcheb was a little dirty but better than nothing

Friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Very clean. Great value.

The owner took care of me. I needed a taxi to a remote Amazon lodge and they didn't know how to get there. The owner talked to the taxi driver who drove me to a boat launch, the boat driver called a taxi and drove me to the other side of the Napo river and four people helped me find my lodge.

Only bad thing is it's loud.....and no hot water, but that didn't matter.

The location was close to town. Host was friendly

From 6am trucks and cars hauled up the road and the room was so noisy from this traffic. The kitchen was quite grim and only one hob worked out of the whole cooker. Not very well equipped.
