Soca House

the cheaper rooms are in a different compound and that garden has no pool. we wanted to change our room to the double price with a pool in the next garden. the owners were so familiar to the idea. they basicly sell $12 room with wrong pictures with no refund. when you arrive and see the situation you easily decide to pay double for the proper rooms. it’s a trap.

The view and the atmosphere is amazing. The staff super friendly. They provide you hot and cold drinking water 24 hours. The rice fields around the room are beautiful and presenting a huge bird population. The kitchen is helpful to boiling eggs or some simple food. From the balcony I could see the top of the Vulcan and the sunrise clearly. Very silent and peaceful place.

My bed it wasn't a real mattres, just a old, overused foam mattress. Extremely uncomfortable, with a hug sag in the middle of the bed. I could not sleeping anyside of the bed. Unfortunately it's made my stay sad, because the location and the staff was amazing. Maybe in the other rooms have better beds.

Nice quiet place. both properties have own charm. first have nice Bali typical architecture and statues and second relax atmosphere between rice fields. Have full kitchen! You can make or warm own food. It's a family residents, a home stay. it brings positive aspects, like local atmosphere, and negative, like things stay around (material, tools...)

WiFi should be better, at morning and night connection drops dramaticly. (nowdays it's possible to limit the bandwidth between users, so each get fair share. Owner: please fix it). the swimming pool is/can be at second property, but it's just 30m away (not a big deal for me)

The location was good and staff were friendly

I don’t know if reading the reviews we just had a bad room but it was really below par. I know it’s quite cheap but it’s around the budget of many others we have stayed in this range and it was the worst by far. Solid beds, no AC or any other amenities in the room. The pool is in another location further up the road. Place just needs a some TLC or in particular our room did. Hate leaving bad reviews but photos were very misleading of what we actually got

Good location. Quiet local place within walking distance to Ubud busy centre. You can rent a scooter, book tourist activities and so on. Also kitchen, coffee, tea and water available. The family here is very welcoming. We had a great stay. Suksma !
