Glaronissi Beach

Good location, friendly manager and staff, very big and nice room, well decorated. Sun beds on the beach, a really nice breakfast with new options every day and local and organic produce. We really enjoyed our stay 🙂

Location close to the beach. Private beach with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Kindness of the gentleman who waited for us at breakfast. Tasty breakfast that could be improved. A family business that I hope will develop more. We will definitely come back here next year.

Because I appreciate family businesses, I'm just saying what's not so good so that it can be fixed. 1. As I told the gentleman who welcomed us at breakfast, the reception should be separated from the breakfast area. I felt bad waiting to eat because someone was at the reception and was sitting with his butt towards the food. The space is too narrow to have both the reception and the breakfast area there. 2. Being a family business that relies on local traditions, breakfast can be enriched with dairy products, for example (cheese, yogurt, fresh milk). 3. The bathroom was poorly designed and a lot comes out of the shower area. 4. On the first day, noise made by workers. On the next day, excavators and noise at the neighbors. These works can be done outside the tourist season, if there is good communication with the neighbors and local authorities. 5. If 2 coffee capsules were left in the room on the first day, they should have been replaced daily. I will gladly return next year to give it a 10.

great staff and great beach

L’hôtel est bien situé, au bord de la mer. Les chambres sont grandes. L’hôtel met à disposition gratuitement des transats très confortables sur la plage. La plage est très belle mais très fréquentée. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et à l’écoute.

Une partie de la chambre à deux étages est dans le sous-sol. Il y avait une odeur de cigarette froide dans celle-ci.

Tutto perfetto. Struttura bellissima, personale gentile, accogliente, sempre a disposizione. Colazioni eccezionali, assistenza per ogni piccola cosa. Naxos è meravigliosa e la spiaggia del Glanorissi è semplicemente perfetta. Lettini comodissimi, mare meraviglioso. Ci torneremo e non avremmo mai voluto andarcene.

Rooms could be bit bigger.

The hotel is super well located, 2 minutes walk away from the Plaka beach, and access to the beach beds is complimentary. The staff welcomed us well and was nice and friendly, especially at breakfast and on the beach area. The hotel is ok, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

My main problem with this hotel is that the price I paid (~€500/night) was way too high, and definitely not aligned with its value. I booked a “Garden & Sea view” room, but some of the pictures in the announce do not correspond to what I booked. Indeed, my view was on a parking lot and some trash (see the pictures). I tried to discuss this point with the hotel but they refused to acknowledge my point of view and said I should have had a better look at the announce. Reality is that there is nothing “luxurious” about the Glaronissi. The building is ok, the rooms are ok, the breakfast is a small self-serve area where people can only go by groups of 2 (no space for more), so you have to wait that the 2 people ahead of you are done preparing their breakfast before you can go, you eat on plastic trays, there was a bad smell in our room (which was quickly resolved though), etc. I also felt deceived with their pricing strategy that I think is not honest. Indeed, when I booked, the price that was displayed was around €1000 per night and came with a 50% reduction. At €500 per night I still thought it looked overpriced, but hotels Greece in peak season tend to be everywhere, and decided to book based on the location, pictures and positive reviews. At the time of my check-in, the price for the same room was below €250. As you can understand from this comment, I’m not happy with this booking. I would have been if I had paid half the price I paid. Long story short, if you can book a room below €250 per night at peak season, go ahead, you’ll get what you paid for. A higher rate will be overpriced. And don’t fall in their trap of showing prive reductions, you’d be fooled.
