The property itself was quiet, although there is a dog in nearby house that barks a lot.

Well, this is an issue that is embarrassing to talk about as I am a 100% strong on personal hygiene, but unfortunately on the very first morning after waking I found I had been bitten by bed-bugs and as I was on a short 3 day extremely busy business trip I had no time to look for other accommodation; By the end of my 3 days I had 21 bed-bug bites and swollen-ness on 1 arm alone, Red and extremely itchy; My other limbs and both feet were also affected but not to the same extreme; My neck, front and back, an eyelid, and an ear we’re all bitten too. All very itchy, red and swollen; During my 3 days there, I saw no cleaner cleaning the place; The Caretaker was seldom around and I had to answer the door to 2 other sets of guests who told me they had booked rooms but no one was there to meet them; There was plenty cereals for breakfast and in the fridge packets of cooked meats which I saw were all pork or ham, but as I don’t eat pig meat I had a cheese sandwich each morning instead with my cup of tea. Unfortunately, I personally did not find the Caretaker to be at all friendly towards me, and on the couple occasions I saw him, he appeared to be in a rush to get out of my presence; perhaps because I am a Brit and I do not yet speak Portuguese. There are several corridors to wind through to get in and out of your room and out of the building and as there are no signs as you go through the building you can find yourself lost, as I did on a couple of occasions; The House is at the top of a steep hill and gives lovely views over the area and Tomar , .. is only a 10 minute walk up the hill from the Bus Station. I have travelled in multiple countries such as India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Trinidad & Tobago, Spain, Canada, USA, Ireland, Scotland, etc, but have never experienced bedbugs like I did at Templar Secrets House; Even now as I write this review 4 days after leaving the House I am still suffering itching, swollen-ness and redness on my limbs.
