Minh Tam Guesthouse

The room was nice and spacious. Comfortable bed. AC wasn’t very strong but it kept us relatively cool. Right in the middle of the walking street but just down a side alley so very quiet.

The gentleman working to sell tours/bus tickets etc completely scammed us with our bus ticket. Way overcharged us (+50%) and promised us completely different bus than we got. We rang him to check when our pick up was coming (it was 40mins late) and shouted down the phone at me as we didn’t wait in the hotel but at the end of the road (road was closed off for traffic so we were trying to be helpful). Would recommend the Homestay, don’t book through this gentleman

we had the room on the top floor, at the fifth floor, no lift. Quite warm during the day even with ac, because the ac wasn't working so well and it's on the top floor. Host is friendly but also trying to promote me of his transport service when i first arrived

The room has all the facilities you need, and the host was very sweet (we even got free water and bananas when we where leaving). Tip: you should eat at the place in front of the homestay, it’s very good!

There was loud music till about 10 PM coming from the club/restaurant on the other side of the street. But we didn’t really think it was a problem, we could still sleep peacefully.

Great guesthouse with very nice hosts, good location in the center and delicious breakfast for a good price. Very comfortable beds and free water. Perfect for a short stay in Hue.

Make sure you know exactly what you are getting if you book a tour through them. We thought we had booked a bike tour to Hoi An, since he kept saying bike when describing it, but it was in fact a bus tour. Good tour though so we are still happy.

Lovely, fun and very helpful hosts. Right next to the main nightly entertainment area (I wasn't affected by any street noise). Room does the job and is good value, stayed in both a double with balcony and a room with 3 beds and a balcony. If you don't need the little extras or anywhere flash, this is an excellent option for the budget minded.

This was one of the best guesthouses we slept in during our travels in Vietnam. The staff were genuinely welcoming and caring. They helped us book a car for our group to see key sights. And their cutest dog is always happy to receive cuddles downstairs :) The room was quiet at night and spotless with fresh sheets and towels as well as daily housekeeping. The air con and fan worked well and were very quiet. The free to use water cooler and refill downstairs as well as glass bottles with water in the fridge were all very much appreciated. The most delicious breakfast at a very reasonable price was available to order. We enjoyed pancakes (including a vegan version), fresh fruit, Vietnamese coffee, juices and baguettes with peanut butter and jam. On our last morning we were even offered takeaway baguettes for our train journey. Thank you! Laundry was available too at extra charge, and they even washed and dried our trekking shoes.

Close to everything. Friendly family run guest house. Great for a family although a little noise from the night life on main road. It didn't really bother us though and we had a lovely stay
