Burcott Mill Guesthouse

Super ontbijt. Met versgebakken brood met meel van eigen graanmolen. Grote kamer met heerlijk bed en grote badkamer. Typisch Engelse plattelandsaccomodatie. Aardige gastvriendelijke gastvrouw.

Burcott Mill is a lovely old building a few miles west of Wells. It's history dates from the 10th century with reconstruction in the 19th but the present owners have modernised it to provide interesting and comfortable modern accommodation. I stayed in a room converted from the old mill office. It is large and has a large, comfortable bed that had good quality linen. The bathroom is also large with an excellent power shower and the towels were fluffy and good quality. If there is a downside to rooms in old mills it is that they don't get enough natural light through the small windows - but at least the thick walls mean no noise from the world outside ever penetrates. Each morning I had an excellent breakfast chosen from many options and especially enjoyed the homemade bread. Good wi-fi throughout. Easy, safe, ample parking. Opposite the Mill is a welcoming pub where I had my evening meals but there is also another pub in Wookey, which is a surprise because the lovely village is bypassed by the main road and hidden from it.

I am not a lover of leather furniture. Sorry! So a more comfortable sofa would have been better for me.....

היחס של בעלת המקום. ארוחת בוקר גדושה וטעימה. לילה השני ישנו בחדר גדול מאד עם חדר אמבטיה ענק.המקום מאד שקט ויפה ומאד קרוב לאתרים שרצינו לבקר בהם.

הקריות היו לא כול כך נוחות בישבילי. לא דפדפתי על כול התמונות של כול החדרים בגסטהוס ובטעות בחרתי חדר מאד-מאד קטו ולא נוח שלו מתאים לזוג, עך למזלנו למחרת היה חדר אחר פנוי ובתוספת תשלום לא גדולה קיבלנו אותו.

One of the nicest b and b's we have ever stayed in, warmth and friendliness from the owner and lovely accommodation. Well done

Nothing not to like

Lovely welcome from the owners. Beautiful building and breakfast room overlooking the garden. Super suite with everything we needed. So quiet at night too!

Not a big problem but used to a larger bed and firmer mattress so some issues with sleep.

Breakfast was very good and plenty on offer including home made bread.
