"Strain and Edgell"

My mum and I came over from America for a family funeral. Braidmead House was like being with family. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast was excellent and comforting. This will definitely be where we stay when we visit Scotland.

I have nothing that I could say we didn't like.

Braidmead is a very comfortable guest house. Lovely decoration and well presented social rooms and very comfortable bedrooms with an excellent shower. Diana & James were friendly and managed communications for our stay very well, with our various abnormal timings.

Couldn't have improved the accommodation & service for the price, much better than I expected in Irvine, where we had to search about for food late on a wet Monday night eventually getting a pub dinner at Carrick Arms. Much better overall, than anticipated

"A quandary"

Ideal location with plenty of parking spaces Superb breakfast (£14.00 and not included in overall price) Very friendly and helpful staff

Being alone, I booked a single room. The fact it had an armchair was very useful. However, it blocks access to the window and wardrobe. So needs to be moved to access either, every time. Would I put up with the extra expense in future of booking a double room? Or put up with the inconvenience of moving the chair each time? I'm undecided.
