Pleasant hosts with excellent in house restaurant. Very close to ski lift and center of town. Great little onsen

Rooms a bit dated and furnishings could do with an update. Beds weren’t the most comfortable.

The Japanese family that runs this business is very friendly. The daily breakfast options were great and the location is the best in the area for being able to ski and walk to nearby shops and restaurants. Support this business. They work hard to ensure a quality experience.

I do not have anything negative to report from this trip. It was fantastic.

Lack of double bed

We were there to ski, the property suited us for its location to the ski hill and local restaurants. The staff are great and very helpful. Great breakfast, room and bath.

Lovely hosts and an excellent breakfast with different options everyday. You could not be closer to the ski-field! Lovely in-house onsen. Very quiet.

Beautiful homely charm. Hosts are amazing and helpful, always smiling and willing to help. Close to the main bus drop off, a 3 minute walk if that and our hosts dropped us back to the bus stop on departure. Couldn’t ask for a closer start to the ski run. Fabulous buffet style breakfast included and we ate in the restaurant most nights after not finding anything that compared as far as taste and value went in the village. Onsen was an absolute treat after a long day skiing. Washing machine free to use. The shared drying room is perfectly adequate for all guests. Room was spacious with two beds downstairs and a loft area for the kids to sleep. Waking up to a beautiful snowscape out the window was great too.

Nothing at all. Although when we landed there was so much snow it was a little hard to actually find it…. 😂 I had read that there were no fridges in the rooms, there’s not, but there is a communal fridge, hot water urn and extra supplies like towels out in the corridor which was perfectly adequate.

I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Directly next to the ski hill, so easy to grab your skis and get right on the chairlift. The hosts were so incredibly friendly and accommodating, making delicious breakfast each morning and ensuring our needs were met. They had a piano in the dining room which I played every night once people finished eating! The rooms were very cute and cozy, easy to heat and keep warm, with comfy beds. The baths were so relaxing, and I herniated a disk before coming here, so soaking in the hot water before and after skiing was a lifesaver. The price was unbelievable for such an amazing place.

I loved everything, but my friend who didn’t use the baths found it difficult to get hot water in her shower. I was able to get some in the bath showers, plus the bath was very hot.

The breakfast had a really big range of tasty foods to try, you can buy discounted ski litt passes there and the owner drove us to iiyama station which was really helpful!!

The gas heater emissions from the dry room filled the hotel when it was on and guests left the door open. Perhaps some ventilation is needed for kind hosts who accommodate all the tourists and have to breathe it all the time.

Lovely lodge in a great location. The family running it are incredibly helpful. The loft room was a good size for our family of 5. Excellent breakfast. Discount lift tickets - loved our stay here.
