Ninja and Mats were the most welcoming warm hosts you could ask for! They cooked breakfast themselves each morning and Ninja woke up early in the morning to bake homemade bread and baked goods that were divine. The views of Knysna harbor were stunning and the grounds were beautiful and comfortable. A truly spectacular guesthouse. We hope to return someday!

Ninja and Mats have really created something absolutely magical at Cambalala. Attention to detail at every turn, beautifully decorated interiors, staff who clearly love what they do and do it all with a smile, views that dreams are made of and top level cleanliness of the rooms and well kept gardens and pool. Breakfast every day was so lovely, homemade by the owners with a different loaf of fresh bread baked each morning. Fresh fruit and yogurt with different cheeses, hams and confectionaries to start followed by bacon and eggs, what could be better? Quality coffee and tea served with a spectacular view of the Knysna Heads and lagoon from the edge of the infinity pool (which is stunning to swim in too by the way) - absolute paradise! Bonus points - we forgot about load shedding entirely during our stay because they have solar power! My husband and I fell IN LOVE with Cambalala and the lovely team that make it what it is, we will most certainly be back in future!!

I honestly can't think of anything to complain of, everything was just really wonderful.

Views, comfort, location, hospitality of owners, delicious breakfast, tasty coffee - the list goes on. Simply put, this is where you should spend more time then you think you might need. We’ve been with Ninja & Mats for 3 nights and cried when check-out time came.

This home perched high above the Kysna lagoon was extraordinary. Our rom was immense, the bed so comfortable and the views exceptional. The lovely infinity pool and gardens were luxurious and inspiring. We enjoyed walking own to Thessen Island, walking on the beach and would have loved to do the forest hikes if we had been there longer. Breakfast was lovely.

A very warm welcome from our hosts and then we sat on the terrace with a glass of wine while admiring the amazing panorama of the lagoon. Big rooms, in a clean fresh modern house - it runs totally on solar power, and an excellent breakfast on the terrace. We would have stayed longer, and we would visit again if we visit Knysna again 🤞 It is a stunning yet relaxing location.
