Protea Guest House

I liked the small table and chairs provided in front of the window and I did a lot of work there. The view from the window was lovely. Tea and coffee and sugar was provided, that was helpful. No milk though. It was spotless, not a speck of dust!

Finishings were a bit tired & bedding a tad old and worn. The bathroom is tiny but adequate.

The view was lovely and a very cute wooden cottage. It was neat with sufficient cupboard space. Great deck overlooking Knysna lagoon

Unfortunately the mattress was uncomfortable. The wooden floor was at a slight incline so the bed was sloped downwards. You could feel the bed moving whenever the people staying next door walked around or were engaging in some "bed" activities" 😁. You could also hear the people next door moving around, closing cupboards or were busy in the kitchen. You could smell when the people next door were smoking on their balcony.

The table and chairs outside on the patio was lovely. I was able to watch the Knysna Loeries and various other birds in the trees. The kitchenette was also very well equipped. Great value for money!

Staff is very welcoming, view is stunning and the kitchen has all you need.

The bedding looked clean but smelled moldy, ended up sleeping on top of towel.

quiet safe location away from bustle of town. Great views. Hosts were friendly. Bird bath in garden was a magnet for lots of birds.Very clean.

Nothing - kitchen units dated but functional. But all good really

The view from the main deck overlooking the bay was superb. You had a day view as well as a night view. The stillness and silence added to our stay.
