"Scam - do not book"

This place is a scam. Do not stay here. We arrived in Split on 5 Aug 2025 to hear from the property manager via WhatsApp that the original owners had “sold” the property and the new owners were no longer accepting visitors. This was despite the fact we could hear people on the inside of the hotel room! Doesn’t make sense. We had no accommodation in Split and were forced to go to the nearest hotel possible that had availability. We requested a full refund from the property and they only contacted booking.com to process the refund after we asked for proof (a screenshot) that they did indeed request the refund, this was despite them sending us a message to claim the refund was processed. Scam. Dishonest and untruthful. Do not stay here.

"I enjoyed my stay at Starlight Rooms. Great location and the staff were helpful."

The Rooms were called the Starlight Rooms - not Tango. There was no breakfast. However small the room was quite adequate with a good bathroom.

In the bathroom - women particularly want a disposal shower cap, shower gel, and adequate shampoo and conditioner. Not a shower gel that is a hair shampoo. Also a face washer is always a nice surprise - so you can lather up the shower gel on the face cloth

We didn’t see a host who would provide recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, bus or ferry connections. No elevator

The room had good quality furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. The en suite was modern with a good shower

Good location in Old Town. Taxi/Uber drop off around the corner. Gentleman there to show you to the place.

Room had slight sulfur smell. Safe didn’t work.
