The room was super clean and spatious! The staff was nice and helpful and breakfast was very delicious! The surrounding was very calm (beautiful neighbourhood) and there was an awesome view from the rooms and the rooftop terrace!

We missed fridge in the bedroom, but the staff was kind enough to allow us to use their fridge. There are very few dining options in the walking distance and the hotel restaurant didn't yet exist at the time we stayed there. However, it is possible to get the food delivered via Pickme app, or ask the owner to deliver it with a surcharge.

No hot water in the shower!

The wifi is very fast, the staff is so friendly, the rooms are veryyyy clean and have wide space, the breakfast is amazing. Much much recommended

Nice views from the balcony, clean, big room

Lovely staff, incredibly beautiful peaceful location and fantastic facilities. We watched a family of monkeys playing in the trees. I highly recommend and will gladly return for another stay!

Beautiful, huge room with amazing balcony overlooking hills and trees, with lots of birds around. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Lots of room to spread out. The bathroom was spotless, good rainfall shower. Staff and owner were friendly and breakfast was tasty and filling. The villa is a bit outside of town and wifi was a little patchy but overall I wished I stayed for longer!

Rooftop restaurant area with a great view. The owner and the chef went out of their way to make sure we felt right at home. Shall definitely return.

Not an issue but a extra bathroom mat would have been helpful as the floor gets wet when you come out of the shower

Location

New homestay which opened 3 weeks ago. Found the place though another homestay which was already fully booked. Located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Little out of downtown (40min walking distance or just take a tuk), but that was OK for me. Restaurant/shop area at about 20min walking distance. Since everything is new, all works perfectly and it's super clean. Very comfortable bed, working AC, great rainfall with hot water (best shower I took so far in Sri Lanka!). Communication with host is 10/10, speaks English very well and can advice a lot about travel. Delicious local breakfast is included. Shared kitchen available at the rooftop with a view.

Just be careful walking around after dark since many households own dogs which can be a tag aggressive to strangers. You will be fine as long as you stick to the main road. Moreover, it would be nice if the host can provide a list with recommended eateries nearby. Nevertheless, would come back again.
