Very good home stay in Canggu, The owners family is very friendly and they seem all speaking English pretty good, they are very helpful, The room and bathroom was clean and quiet, I spend a good time staying there

Location

No toiletries, no blankets, though in other hotels I stayed in the area at the similar price all these were provided. It can get cold at night. I asked for a blanket, but they said they didn’t have one, then I asked for another bedsheet, they said it was one bedset for each guest, so I had to turn up the aircon to 29 degrees in order to not get cold at night. And without an aircon the room smells damp and moldy. No second towel, they wanted to charge me 30k idr for a second blanket, she explained that for one night stayers a second towel can’t be free, but I insisted they gave it to me for free. This is the first time in my life when a hotel tries to charge me for a second towel meanwhile I booked a private room with a double bed. The owner girl offered me to cancel the second night booking and book directly with them with a small discount. When I said that the discount was too small (-15 k idr, 210k with them instead of 225k on Booking) and that they would save 20% commission fee (45k idr) to Booking.com from my cancellation, so the split of that sum should be fair and the discount needs to be around -25k, resulting in 200k per night, the owner girl got emotional, like a child. She didn’t want to even understand my point, was bursting with her emotions, acted like she was hurt and kept regurgitating same words that the fixed price at the hotel was 210k. When I asked her if she got my point, understood my explanations, she was stumped for the answer and didn’t know what to answer. Then she said that I just wanted 200k instead of 210k. She didn’t get any of my explanations about the fair split of the commission fee. I got an unpleasant experience of dealing with emotional people who don’t want to hear other people’s truths and don’t use logics so I would avoid this hotel next time.

Lovely staff. Great location - only a 15 minute walk from Canggu beach. Loads of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Clean room.

No soap provided (I have my own toiletries but hand soap is appreciated to use after using the bathroom).
