"Its a great place with great people working in it"

Location is great to visit the interior of the island "Monte cafe" the waterfalls and the Museum. Staff super friendly and they prepared us dinner (last minute) because all the restaurants were closed around the place. The Sr. Jose came to the property to cook us dinner together with his daughter. That was a 5start service and we really appreciated.

"Good budget stay, avoid eating there"

This is good budget accommodation, convenient location for the botanic garden, lake Amelia and Monte cafe. owner, Jose, is trying very hard. Note that he doesn’t speak English, so you need Portuguese, French or Spanish to communicate to him. Huge advantage is large fridge in the bungalow.

one night we had dinner in this accommodation, it was super-average, and we both had food poisoning, which tainted the rest of our holiday.
