Staying at La Corte Dei Pastori Luxury felt really special. The location in the Sassi is incredible, with beautiful views over Matera and everything within easy walking distance. The hotel itself has so much character, blending the historic setting with a modern, thoughtful design. The little garden-style entrance adds a lovely, almost hidden feel, and the rooms are beautifully done, with outdoor spaces where you can sit and take it all in. The owners being so involved made it feel more personal, and the handmade breakfast and pottery they sell were a really nice touch.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to fault during the stay.

This is such a unique property and location. Absolutely loved the whole experience. The suite was beautiful, so tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was heavenly and so plentiful, sat looking at the beautiful hurt and watching the birds in the tree. All the little details make this an absolute must do. The hosts were amazing and I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Das Zimmer war wirklich außergewöhnlich – eine originale Höhle, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet ist. Auch die Lage ist besonders, und man erreicht alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Matera bequem zu Fuß. Die Terrasse bietet einen tollen Blick auf das „Sasso Caveoso“ und in die Schlucht. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und lecker, mit frischen Zutaten und allem, was man sich wünschen kann. Die Unterkunft ist auch für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt sehr gut geeignet. Insgesamt einfach sehr empfehlenswert!

The suite room in the cave which is under the church is an amazing experience. It is a beautiful room. Breakfast is also really nice. Matera is an incredible city with delicious food and the people are really freindly. You can park in the city and take the navette which runs every 30 mins. To pay the parking use easy park app, really easy. And enjoy it!

Absolutely everything! We loved the room, the location, the people, the breakfast. It was superb! We felt that we chose the best place to stay! It was an amazing experience staying at this place!

In diese Unterkunft zu übernachten war für Uns eine besondere Erfahrung. Die Lage der Höhle ist außergewöhnlich ,es ist alles vorhanden: klimatisiert ,tolles Bad mit warmes Wasser. Die Vermieter waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das frühstück war sehr lecker, landtypisch und vielfältig. Der Kaffee war auch sehr lecker. VIelen Dank für die schöne Zeit !

Es war alles super,nur dass Wetter hätte besser sein können! Dafür können die netten Vermieter aber nichs 😊!
