Absolutely lovely! The only thing better than one lovely Grandma cooking you delicious food is two Grandma's! Also a great view.

I can see why this guest house gets such good reviews - it’s not about the facilities it’s about how genuine and authentic this stay feels. Grandma Mila and her family were lovely, and the food was excellent: tasty, filling and just what a hungry hiker wants. The room was nice and the bed was warm. Despite no English spoken and I only have half a dozen words of Georgian (they do speak Russian though) we managed to communicate. So if you want the authentic Georgian home stay experience and you don’t need the ‘frills’ this is perfect.

Although the room was advertised with TV (no TV and I didn’t care) and Wi-Fi (nice to have but not essential) and the shower pump needed plugging in to turn on - I really enjoyed the stay. Besides it was so cheap and the family so nice I can’t grumble about a few niggles- it’s all part of the authenticity.

The offered food was so good. Very nice atmosphere. They even gave us the breakfast leftovers and as being hikers, that literally saved our day. Highly recommend!

Communication with gestures, but no problem communicating breakfast and dinner times. Someone could be called for further English communication. Absolutely lovely ladies <3 Great food, mmmmh!! Decent bathroom. A little electric heating for the room was offered. Stunning views. Would always come back!

This is an outstanding place for a rustic Georgian experience. We had the most amazing authentic meals. the room was cozy and comfortable, and the hosts were very accommodating.

Lovely quiet traditional guesthouse run by 3 elderly ladies. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Shared bathroom is clean with reliable shower. The ladies are delightful and they provided good evening meals and breakfasts with home baked kachapuri and bread from the garden oven plus home made cheeses and jams. Staying here was a great experience and it was nice to observe the routines of a rural farming lifestyle. The evening parade of returning cows and pigs was entertaining. Ask to see the fabulous cowshed with its amazing woodcarved stalls - a cow's Downton Abbey. A communal fridge on the verandah was very much appreciated. Leon (the man of the family) speaks good English and is interesting to talk to about his life and Georgia in general

The only disadvantage was the absence of wifi most of the time. Leon can provide a wifi hotspot from his mobile when he is around in the evening. Only one shared bathroom so could be a problem when all the rooms are full. Only one poorly stocked shop in village and not often open so you need to bring your own provisions
