Kalahari Camelthorn Guesthouse and Camping

Lovely accommodation and loved the little extra spoils. Rene went out of her way for us. 5 star host

Wonderful stay in tastefully decorated rooms. Good beds and shower and lots of little extras like fruit and rusks etc. Good distance for overnight stop before entering Kgalgadi National Park.

We booked this stay for an overnight on our way to the Kgalagadi. Somewhere there was a miscommunication; I thought that we could have dinner there, but that should be arranged previously. No problem though, well equipped braai area, gas stove (though the cylinder had to be changed first). Kitchen area outside which was looked quirky until we realized it should be seen as bricks-and-mortar camping, then it all suddenly makes perfect sense.

Another great stay at the Camelthorn. Beautiful accomodation with lots of personal touches and a warm welcome. A fantastic stop on the way to the Kgalagadi that I would recommend to anybody.

Perfect accommodation in a small town relatively close to Kgalagadi National Park. Rene was super knowledgeable an friendly, and even helped us at the last minute when we needed another night at her guesthouse. Highly recommended!

The service of our hosts extended way beyond just the accommodation. Everyone was super friendly and the location near the National Park was a huge advantage. We even got exceptional help and advice for my daughter who fell sick. We will stay at Camelthorn every trip to the park.
