THE SPARE ROOM BALI

Small Guest House, clean and quiet with a sweet garden and pool area. Location is perfect - away from the crowds, close to some great eateries (The Shady Shack in particular!) and not too far from the shops and beach spots (by scooter) great staff too!! Really accommodating with late checkout and room servicing.

Aircon unit can be noisy through the night but no biggy. Deck area by pool needs a little revamp.

the garden area and the pool area were nice and well maintained. the location is good, with beaches, shops and restaurants close by. staff is very responsive/ good communication through messaging.

the smell in the room and bathroom was moldy/ musty as there was not enough proper ventilation. bathroom stayed humid during our whole stay. the bathroom is a bit dated. room was very small and basic, would not recommend it for longer than one night.

Simple and stylish way place is on one of the best locations in Canggu. Very quiet at the same time is walking distance to some of the coolest restaurants and a a few minutes stroll from Echo beach. The owner and the stuff were very accomodating making sure we had everything we needed.

Aircon was not super strong. Probably because the room is not very well insulated

The Spare Room was like a little oasis away from the very busy Canggu area, yet only a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The garden and pool area were lovely. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra few nights.

Location was great. Really central and I could walk to most places. Lots of great restaurants and cafes within 5 min walk as well. There was coffee/ water available throughout the day. Pool was of a decent size

Place was quite far in on a small street. Bali is generally safe but still did worry a little when I was walking back alone at night in the dark. Pool didn’t seem to get the sun much, only the sun beds did. Not sure if it was just due to the timing

really good location, room itself was lovely, bed comfortable, bathroom needs updating but it was perfectly fine. We didn’t use the pool or outside kitchen, however the property was secure and safe. People at the spare room were very nice and friendly, they arranged airport pick up as flew arrived late at night and were always accommodating.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the spare room.

The location was great! It is down a quiet street and we were able to walk to many places. The pool is nice and the rooms are comfortable. We liked that it's adults only, as it felt very peaceful when sharing the outdoor space with other couples only. I also liked the coffee and water station provided. It is also great that there is aircon in the room and that the bed is really comfy! We would definitely stay here again.

There was no safety deposit box in the room. Although we felt safe, it would be good to have somewhere to lock our passports and valuables in whilst we go out for the day/night. Also there was a bit of an ant problem in our bathroom.
