Really welcoming hosts. The environment at the hostel is super friendly and relaxing. The chill out space on the roof is wonderful

in summer its too hot and there is no aircon but they do have lots of fans

Unfortunately this was a disappointing stay in a poorly run hostel. There were cockroaches even on days when it didn’t rain and I’m sure I saw bedbugs in my room. It also flooded which wasn’t pleasant. The hosts are unprofessional, rude and child like. One clearly has a drinking problem and has a strange laugh which comes across as condescending and rude. They clearly want to do the bare minimum in terms of customer service and just want money. It was also noisy at times whilst also not that friendly which is different to better hostels I’ve stayed in. The photos are not accurate- it was very messy. Quiet hours not enforced. One night there was no gas at all for cooking causing costs to the guests. Theres minimum help or information on the local area (other than pay them a rip off amount for a scooter). I had to work out getting to the beaches- which is an Absolute mission of two buses with no timetables and really detracts from a relaxing holiday. A couple of days in I was also informed my credit card had been fraudulently used which meant I had to shorten my stay to sort another booking. I gave them plenty of notice and given the stress, did not think it would be unreasonable to have a refund for a couple of nights. They didn’t respond to messages or check in at all during my stay, which created a really bad vibe and they also declined the refund, which again is not common in places which care about running a serious business, who care about their customers and on a human level, empathizing with my predicament. Given all of these issues, I would not recommend this place and find somewhere closer to town where much more is going on and you’re closer to the beach and playa bus and a better holiday.

Great hostel, great vibe, great staff!

Just wish they had lockers or some way to secure important stuff.

I liked everything

The many opportunities I had to meet people from around the world. Also, I had enough time to write a book while I was there. They are welcome to come up to Floating Stone Lake to have an adventure.

The kitchen got crowed during busy times.
