Rumah Askara

This is a beautiful place like a little paradise. The owner is AMAZING and is marking sure you are well looked after and that you enjoy your stay. She went an extra mile during our stay. The room is large and comfortable. The ned is huge and we slept there very well. The breakfast simple and tasty – make on spot from fresh local products!! She also bought for us some local fruits so we can try them, she organise our tours and a driver. She gave is insight into Bali culture and recommendation for excellent restaurant, and Frangipani Spa next door!! The garden is wonderful, great place to relaxed and feel pampered!!

The product used to clean the shower smells worse when it is wet.

Good basic place to stay. Unfortunately our room was literally right next to the front door entrance, and our front patio was basically in the kitchen area of the owners home where they stayed and hung out all the time. This meant we had zero privacy and couldn’t really relax. Because of the lack of privacy due to the location of the room, we had to keep our blinds closed most of the time , otherwise everyone could see inside our room, (staff always peaking inside when they walked by) and keeping blinds closed made it very dark in the room. The bathroom was not clean and smelled of sewage. The pool is probably the best part of the property but didn’t have enough seating. Garden is beautifully kept. Location close to many restaurants nearby, but everyone harasses you to sell you something which was very annoying when you want to go for a walk. Breakfast was super basic. We left a day early

Major lack of privacy, not very clean

Great stay. It’s clean, good wifi, spacious room. Good hot shower. It’s close to everything but still quiet. We enjoyed the pool. The owners are friendly and serve a good breakfast.

The towels are old and thin, could use some newer ones

Airco could be stronger, but it was okay!

A lovely two room guesthouse set in the grounds of the Rambutan Hotel. Large room with comfy bed, fridge, aircon, water, kettle. Good sized bathroom. Small terrace out the front of the room adjacent to breakfast area. Breakfast choice simple by adequate and tasty. Nice shady pool. Grounds were large and beautiful. You can use all the facilities of the hotel. Larger pool and restaurant. Shops and wayans out the front but quiet at night. The guest house is located on one of the streets just minutes walk from the beach.

There is no privacy in the room. Anyone who is in the guesthouse area can see into the large window of the room. No net curtains so when you’re inside you have to have the thick dark curtains drawn all the time and the light on. Not ideal.

The lovely lady who looks after the property and guests made our stay special. Also, thanks to the owner, Askara, who wants her guests to have a good experience. We stayed in one of two lovely spacious rooms with a patio. Pool and gardens are gorgeous. Pool towels were provided. Activities are listed together with prices in the room providing full transparency and is reasonably priced. Book through Askara for good value responsible operators. Snorkelling at the Marine reserve is recommended. Beach short walk away. Well stocked bar fridge although we did not need it. Spoilt for choice with great Warungs close by, in particular small family run Warung Wayan nearby. The pancake breakfast option was the best. Good portion of fruit served with breakfast. All up a great place to stay. Great value for the price. Property is as advertised. I would stay again.
