Del Peregrino

El edredón tenía alguna pequeña mancha visible. La recepción fue inexistente teniendo que recoger las llaves en el bar de enfrente. Te alojan en un 3º sin ascensor.

Estaba muy céntrico, y cerca del camino

Planta tercera sin ascensor, iba con mi madre mayor y después del camino, cuesta.

Escogí la opción de habitación privada y estuvo bastante bien. Tiene una zona entre el baño y el propio dormitorio para poder dejar las mochilas y demás cosas con las que viajas. Comparado con los precios de la localidad es la mejor opción para descansar en el camino de Santiago.

El único pero que le pongo es la humedad que generaba la propia habitación en la parte del baño y la zona entre el baño y el dormitorio. Por lo demás genial.

No conocí el lugar, ya que por un desperfecto me reubicaron en un hotel a las afueras de Arzua, a casi 1 km. Donde no hay nada donde comprar comida. La descripción del hotel decía que contaba con cafetería y restaurante, pero estaban cerrados. En la recepción había una tetera eléctrica y cafetera, pero no había vajilla, por lo que no había opción de consumir algo caliente, además ese día estaba lloviendo, por lo que ir a Arzua caminando no era una buena opción

Distancia y falta de equipamiento

Blankets provided, Beds were reasonably comfortable, owner answered his phone promptly. The place was reasonably clean.

I had to prepay to make a reservation so I couldn't just go to another albergue when I found the facilities were not as expected. There was nobody to check me in; I was asked to fetch the key to the albergue from a lady nearby; that took a fair bit of phoning and messaging to accomplish. The key to the albergue opened the door easily but it was difficult to lock the door from the inside. THE WATER WAS COLD even after running it for 15 minutes and trying different positions of the tap. When I messaged the owner to list my concerns I got no reply, however he did answer the phone promptly - for the water he told me to run it for a few minutes and it would get hot - well as stated before it did not get hot. Now I get it, the owner may have had other pressing things to occupy his time and the season was starting to run down. However, the cold water was not acceptable to me after a day's walking. I feel the albergue should have been closed for the season. Maybe my reservation slipped through and the owner felt obligated to honour it. If the owner had sent someone to check the water temperature and fix it I would have been happier. Oh, I couldn't find a light switch to turn on the lights to the Sitting Room area.
