Alfama Guest House

The bed was surprisingly good, and the sheets were clean. The all encompassing stench, the black mold and the stains/holes/stainy holes in the carpet wouldnt suggest that. Oh, and its cheap of course, so I wish nothing but success to the owners, and everybody involved in this operation, in the hospitality business.

I wouldnt call this a tourist accomodation. It might be good for a homeless shelter. But I suspect those are better.

Die Lage in der Altstadt war gut.

Meiner persönlichen Meinung nach ist das Abzocke. Die Betreiber stammen wohl aus Bangladesch, und die Bude war dreckiger als ein Slum in deren Heimat. Ein widerlich dreckiger Teppichboden, Im Toilettenbecken wuchsen Algen, Schimmel überall. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war total versaut, dreckige Bettwäsche lag in der Küche. Im Zimmer waren nur kaputte Möbel, Elektrokabel hingegen aus der Wand. Im Treppenhaus gab es kein Licht Ich verstehe nicht, daß Booking so etwas auf ihre Plattform anbietet.

La ubicacion es excelente.

El baño la verdad necesita muchas mejoras y los suelos, sucios el pasillo y la alfombras, las sabanas manchadas. Más detalle en eso.

The location was very good, the place had potential.

Absolutely filthy, I get a place not having the greatest conditions, sometimes the budget doesn’t allow for the most modern beds and showers but it’s a case of total negligence coming from the staff and owner. The room by itself is kinda bad as a baseline but the lack of cleaning is even worse, it was super smelly and full of mold, bed sheets were clearly not changed, it not only had stains, but even worse than that it had hair and what looked like pubic hair. The shower and all the bathroom for a fact was super dirty, with bug eggs growing on the makeshift roof, I was so disgusted I couldn’t manage to even take a shower. I booked this place last minute because of an emergency but to be honest just stay away from it, it’s not worth it. I also want to mention that someone tried to get into my room multiple times during my stay, thankfully I was locked in the room so no one got in. I Imagine that when I went out there were also people trying to get in, I don’t know if it was staff or other guests though. As someone who works in the same area but in Porto, the place has some serious potential but the management obviously doesn’t care

The room was an absolute disgusting nightmare — DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! The entire room was filthy beyond belief. Every single wall was covered in thick, black mold — it looked like it had been growing there for years. The fridge was the worst: inside was a huge chunk of rotten, decomposing meat that had clearly been sitting there for months, stinking up the whole room. The staff had to wear protective respirators just to take it out — that's how hazardous it was! The bathroom and shower were revolting too: grimy tiles, mold everywhere, hair in the drain, and a smell that made me gag. Despite the supposedly good location and low price, this place is completely unfit for human habitation. Staying here is a serious health hazard — mold spores, bacteria from rotting food, you name it. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs, even if it's the last available option. 1 star only because I can't give zero. Booking.com should remove this dump from their platform immediately!
