Room Atalaia - Bairro Alto

Facilities were bare minimal, only 1 bathroom for 4 bedrooms, this also included 1 hairdryer, 1 TVetc. Bed was comfortable and clean.

Location

Toilet paper in shared bathroom ran out. No other rolls visible in apartment to replenish. Corkscrew for opening wine was broken/unusable

Great location. Convenient hub in the centre of Bairro Alto

Make sure to not have large bags as we did - extremely hard to get them up the stairs and hard to get transport on this inner city street.

Location is great for tourism very central

We really liked that it was small, but cozy :) For a couple it is definitely enough and comfortable if you’re looking for a stay where you spend most of the time walking around the city. There are fresh towels available and there is a cute space to hangout as well :). The room is a comfortable place to relax and sleep after a long day exploring Lisbon. We liked that it is white and the atmosphere is warm. The bathroom was okay, the shower needed around 5min for water to get warm, but otherwise no complaints here. There is a big mirror for those who like to do their makeup:)

The owner was not answering our messages and didn’t respond so we weren’t assisted further when we needed help. Their phone number doesn’t exist. Hopefully it was just because of the time of Holiday. I would check that before making a reservation. (We couldn’t find the hairdryer although it was supposed to be there.) If you like to party you will love this street because it has many bars. However we were looking for a quieter stay and we didn’t expect the music to be so loud till late hours (3-4 a.m) every day. If you’re interested in a place where you can get a good rest I wouldn’t recommend booking it. The WIFI isn’t the best.

unable to drop luggage off prior to check in which was an inconvenience. the room really needs air conditioning - a pedestal fan when it’s 37 degrees does not really cut it

The bed was comfortable.

It was freezing cold. Little hot water. Loud partying on the street with bass drums until 3 am

The mattress was not at all comfortable.
