Sleepy Nomad Hostel

Location is great, you just have to follow the river to the main area. The street where the hostel is has a very nice restaurant/drinking bars.

Air conditioning was noisy and didn't cool enough, I booked a double room at a hostel because I expected more tourists, people at the common area... There was none. It felt as if we were "alone" at the hostel.

There was a lack of explanation of the facilities when I checked in, so I didn't know what I could do at this hostel. For example, even if I wanted to turn on the air conditioner in the free space, it wouldn't turn on unless the main power was on, and there was no explanation of how to use it, so I ended up staying in a hot room. Also, there was no explanation about entering and leaving the hostel at night, so when I returned home that night, I was unable to enter the hostel and had to stay at another accommodation, which was very unpleasant. However, the hostel staff were flexible and accommodated my request the next day.

Friendly, helpful staff. The location right beside the river was great and close to Jonker area. Many things to do and see within walking distance. Lots of great food options nearby. Great value for money.

Not much to not like about this place. If anything, it can be a little noisy at night due to the bars nearby. So if you're wanting a quiet, early sleep take this into account.
