"Highly recommended :)"

10.0

+great hosts +warm room +hair dryer +very good beds +wood stove that you can heat with wood (provided fo free)!

There is a small cold kitchen without warm water; cold water must always flow a little, otherwise it will froze and you wouldn't be able to use the tap, but that's a very little minus. I'm usually picky - and this place is great!

"Very cozy place with a pleasant atmosphere"

10.0

Already in 2019, when I visited this accommodation for the first time, I felt at home there. I hope to have a chance to visit again sometime. The owner with a hearty smile is incredibly nice and kindly. Clean and comfortable rooms connected to a common living area where the family keeps the fire going in the fireplace. The possibility of preparing a hot drink, it is also possible to use the kitchen with a fridge. Thank you for a fantastic pre-Christmas break in this wonderful region with many hiking trails nearby. Good health to the whole family, good luck!

"Best value for money in Mestia!"

10.0

Amazing value for money! Easily walkable to city center, comfy bed, warm room, clean private bathroom, fuss-free check-in. All is perfect, and I will absolutely stay here again next time. I stayed in many different places in Mestia and this one has the best value for money, in my opinion.

The location on booking.com is inaccurate, but thankfully on Google Maps the location is accurate. Just search the name of the guesthouse on Google Maps.

"Warm, homely, fantastic location, great price."

I will write a lot because there is so many great things to tell! We stayed here for a few days, it felt like home!!! Location is superb: at the foot of old town for lovely village vibes, but without going up a long icey hill like other locations. Yet also only 3-5min walk from the Mestia centre, and very close to Blue Mountains Cafe which we became regulars at. Also opposite the Theatre which we went to twice for a movie and to watch a Svanetian folk group. After a heavy snowfall the power was out in Mestia, so the heating in the rooms all over town was not available. But here it did not matter so much, because there is a fireplace in the common room, the rooms were a little cold in the night to sleep but I just added a jumper on and slept so well so it really didn't matter!! Other friends in places complained how cold it was because it was only electric but we didn't have this problem. We were also supplied candles for light which gave great ambience and the hot water was still available for a shower. Each morning the owner came and relit the fire and the took care of it during the day. Om our arrival, we came after a 13 hour Marshrutka journey in a snownstorm at 1am, and he still met us on the main street to help us "home". His care for our stay was well noticed. We really felt like we were able to see a piece of Mestia village community feeling here. Also, we asked if we could have some fresh milk and they brought us 1L from their mothers cow!! Much better then from the supermarket!!! Beds and pillows were also the most comfortable we had in a month in Georgia.

NOTHING we didn't like, but to help other potential guests: The accommodation is simple and modest, it is exactly to our liking as we can feel like we are at home. We took the standard triple room which is the only one with a window directly to the garden and did not find noise to be too much of an issue but we were also the only guests most of the time. If you take the twin or deluxe triple room, potentially if there are inconsiderate neighbour guests and you are a light sleeper you may be disturbed late evening or early morning due to the nature of the wooden floorboard and doors, I.e. rooms are not very sound proof, but we had no issues personally. One reason we chose here is for the shared kitchen, but we enjoyed eating food out (Blue Mountains Cafe was super affordable and less heavy then most Georgian food, 3min away), so much in Svaneti we didn't get a chance to cook except boil eggs. There is only one electric burner seperate to the family kitchen for guests to use. But I think I understood we could share the kitchen with them too if needed (we uswd the fridge for milk), they seemed very relaxed so even the one stove top is not a problem, just confirm with them if this is important to you.
