Everything was great. My three friends and I had a lovely one night stay and got to swim in the swimming pool which was very refreshing. Madelaine and her son Andre were very accomodating, friendly and flexible hosts. The breakfast which is included in the price and which we were able to have on the beautiful terrace overlooking the orange orchard was incredible (just like in the movies). Thank you Madelaine. I can highly recommend this place.

The breakfast was wonderful. The pool a very welcome distraction from the heat.

The location is slightly off center. You will need a car or a 20 min walk from the city center on a relatively busy road.

"Eine Oase zum auftanken in einem Orangenhain"

Der Gastgeber und seine Mutter sind sehr nett.Der Gastgeber hat uns jeden Morgen ein tolles abwechslungsreiches Frühstück gemacht.Das Haus liegt in einem Orangenhain. Der Pool war, da es plötzlich sehr heiß war, eine Wonne. Silves ist ein interessanter Ort mit Sehenswürdigkeiten, einem archäologischen Museum, einer schönen Altstadt und vielen Restaurants und Cafés. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Ausflug nach Monchique gemacht und haben auf dem Weg dahin unglaublich viele Störche in ihren Nestern gesehen.

Für uns war es kein Problem nach Silves zu kommen, da wir ein Auto hatten. Am Ort selbst gibt es nur ein Restaurant, eine Churescheria, ziemlich portugiesisch, riesige Portionen, aber etwas fleischlastig. Ohne Auto sind es ca.2-2,5 km nach Silves zu laufen 🏃‍♀️. Wenn es heiß ist, ist das anstrengend.
