Dar Sidi Bounou

Outside M'Hamid, very peaceful, lovely people, great home made food. We left our luggage in the Dar for two nights in the desert. Good place to park our motorbikes

A very nice and unforgettable experience. We had a great rest with our family. Our first contact with the desert. Davud and his family gave us a great welcome. The food was really good. I recommend that you let yourself be spoiled by the cuisine of their home. Davud organized a camel ride for us. Because it was too hot in our room, we slept on the terrace for two nights. Wonderful. I recommend.

A wonderful location full of palm trees and traditional buildings, archways and shaded sitting areas. The food was fantastic and we were well looked after by the hosts.

Staying there was like being invited into their home and being shown Moroccan hospitality. they arrange excellent tours of Erg Chigaga from locals with no up sell pressure. the nightly traditional Moroccan dinners were excellent.

Daoud and his family made me feel very welcome at Dar Sidi Bounou. It's a special place - both a good base for exploring the local area and heading out into the desert, and a beautiful place to relax in and of itself. Despite some wild weather (rain in the Sahara!), I was comfortable throughout my stay. The meals are excellent.

People expecting to be pampered in a fantasy of Arabian luxury should look elsewhere. Dar Sidi Bounou is a beautiful place, but it is not catering to those who expect their every whim to be indulged. This is a welcoming, family-friendly home in the desert. Come with an open heart and a good attitude and you will find something very special.

we had a lovely stay at dar sidi. an absolutely unique experience. the building is on the verge of the desert, you have a wonderful view of palm trees and sand. you can walk in the dunes steps away from your room. the family who runs it is lovely, welcoming and making your stay even more pleasant. the food is delicious and local. I would recommend to anyone looking for a genuine experience with lovely people and in a breathtaking location.

We had such a good time at Dar Sidi Bounou! The staff is so sweet and helpful, relaxed atmosphere, great location with berber tents where you have a mint tea and chill. Raja cooked the best food we had in Morocco, Dawd took care of us as a real friend, Nancy shared the most incredible life experiences. That's why we came for a couple of days but we decided to extend our stay and look forward to visit again!
