PENSIUNEA MIHAELA-Transalpina

Everything was great, to bad we only stayed for one night. Plenty of attractive activities available in the area and on the premises, that could be enjoyed over a long weekend or even a whole week.

We used this place as a stopover from Brasov to Horezu during a roadtrip from Holland to Romania and back. Upon arrival you'd think you'll end up in the middle of nowhere but once you pass the gates you're in a very lovely place. The staff welcomes you in a friendly way and was clearly happy to have us. There's a playground for the kids, a football field and it's all very clean and quiet. The rooms felt modern and fresh. TV had about 1.000 stations including several international stations which was a great surprise as well.

Breakfast was served without drinks. My wife informed the staff afterwards and she immediately said she forgot and wanted to make coffee right away. We were a bit in a hurry though so had to leave otherwise we'd have made use of the offer. In one of our rooms the heater was on so we woke up in the middle of the night in a rather hot room and had to open the window to cool things down. This was odd as the room was nice and cool upon arrival. Both of these things are minor inconveniences though. We recommend this place.

Nice family hotel operated by pleasant people - Alina and her family. Located near to start of Transalpina road. We stayed only one night but were nicely surprised by this hotel. Spaced rooms, good beds and linen with hotel logo, high quality guest amenities. It was quite cold outside, so the heater was working excellent to keep good temperature conditions. In the morning some free coffee pots were very pricefull before the ride start. I will strictly recomend this amazing hotel.

It`s not the bad things, but rather some advices to the travellers. Hotel is located in very dead end of the small village road, so it quite hard to find the place without navigator especially at night time. If you want to eat something after a long road you need to drive another 6 km till the nearest restaurant, so keep this in mind. We visited this hotel in the middle of september, so it was already quite cold outside, so the nice pools, which you can see on photos, were no more available. And please, buy new billiard cues :)))
