In summary, it was not a pleasant stay at all. The room was filthy and mouldy in a lot of places - the shower curtain, the bathroom door, the cupboard, etc. I almost got locked in the bathroom due to the malfunctioning of the bathroom door lock. It was a hazard, and I was traumatized. We didn’t close the bathroom door completely the rest of our stay fearing that we would be locked in again. There was no toilet paper in the room. It was totally unacceptable. We called the reception to ask for toilet paper, but there was no answer. And nobody was at the reception. We asked specifically whether there’s a hair dryer in the room before we checked in, and in response, we were assured to have one. There was NONE in the room. If you had other lodging options, this is a place to avoid.

Easy access.

Location brilliant, easy stroll to fantastic fortified town. Good size bedroom. Dog friendly.Very good dinner in their adjoining restaurant. Good strsight forward breakfast. Nice staff. Excellent value. Good link (approx 8 easy miles) to the Spain/ Portugal motorway. Would stay again.

While lot of modernization has been done some cosmetic work to update tired appearance still needs doing but this is reflected in the very competive pricimg.

The staff were responsive and attached restaurant was very good

The room is very dated. Needed to put the heat way up to get it to work. Very dark decor. Rooms need to be updated.
