The way to the beach is between 50 minutes (marina beach) and 90 minutes laghi di Sibari. There was no fridge to put drinks in.

This was perfect as we were just passing through. The room, up 2 levels, is large and very clean and comfortable. Parking is easy right in front of the building. Don't be put off by the pizzeria below, we chose a wonderful pasta dish for supper. Breakfast of coffee and pastry was served across the street.

Nice neat room, in shared facility. Good in room set up. Nice shared bathroom. Very secure. Good restaurant in the complex. Supermarket not far away. Bar across the road, where simple breakfast was provided.

Motion lighting on stairs cut out at bad times, sometimes. Trouble in locking open the shutters. Really need your own transport here. Booking in was a little tricky, with times etc.

I went to Sibari for the archaeological park (in all frankness, there isn't really any other reason to go there). However, the museum and the excavations lie well outside the village (way apart) and can only be reached via the highway. Walking is strictly advised against ('molto pericoloso') and as I did not bring a car and there are no other means of transport I would not have been able to get there if it wasn't for the owner of the B&B. Many thanks to Francesco and his friend who drove me around; they really made my day!

Modern day Sibari turns out to be a tiny hamlet with - respectfully - nothing of interest. The B&B also runs a pizzeria but this was closed at the time of my stay. The only alternative dinner option in the entire place was a sandwich.
