Erens Guest House

We were not expecting a 5 star experience as this was a homestay, however food was ok if a bit repetative, and staff were friendly. They did try to accommodate requests

You need to ask for everything, ask for fruit, ask for drinking water, ask for water to bathroom taps (to wash, flush the toilet, etc), ask for room clean, ask for toilet paper, ask for a room fan. The room its self lacked some sort of sun shade in the morning, other than staying inside or at the resturant area untill gone 11am - midday, We ended up hanging ropes and using sheets / sarongs to make shade. Being close to a town mosquitos are more abundant than in other areas

Fantastic location and the bungalows were very comfortable including the bed. Food was very tasty.

Would like fruit offered for breakfast and with dinner.

The bungalow was cosy and spacious, bed comfy and linen smelled good. Right by the beach, bright in the day, the terrace is a very nice plus. The meals were delicious, the family very attentive and helpful despite language differences. We still managed to communicate. It is a nice village, the water is crystal clear with corals, many boats come as a snorkeling spot (still not too near the property). It is also possible to ask to visit other islands with the owner, which we did. I left this morning, and been missing the place, the feel, and the whole family. I hope to come back to Raja Ampat, I would definitely stay at Erens' again.

It didn't bother me but there is no electricity in the day until sunset. I don't need much and my power bank was charged in case.

Nice bungalows with private bathroom. The house reef is incredible, better than many dive sites around Raja Ampat. The local guide Rufus helped us to organize nice snorkeling trips on nearby islands.

Bring mosquitoes repellant - also, an hammock for the front porch would have been a big plus.

We liked everything in Erens Homestay. It was the last place during our trip across Raja Ampat and it was the best. I can just recommend it!

I got 3kg in 4 days. The food was so tasty, just too much! ;) And more serious: The communication before the arrival was really chaotic. But everything was as expected anyway.

The island itself is incredible. You can walk out and snorkel on the reef (please be careful not to stand on coral). We snorkelled with the turtles and that was an experience I will never forget. The food was great - really yummy - aubergine curry for lunch with fresh grilled fish and hot doughnuts for breakfast.

Don't double book! it's very annoying for everyone. It was so embarrassing when we got there, another couple were asked to move out of their beachfront room for us, which they didn't. We were then shown to another property, away from the beach which was basically in the middle of other bungalows being rebuilt. If we would actually have stayed at the property illustrated on the web it would have been amazing. Don't expect first rate comforts there is a bucket for washing and flushing toilet (fine with me but just so you know).
