The Red Shed, Anakiwa

Very pleasant owner. Nice space surrounded by lovely gardens. Well equipped with cooking appliances

Lack of food places in Anakiwa. Need to bring your own food to cook

Location was great for exploring the outdoors. Bathroom was super clean.

Clutter and excess furniture that wasn't conducive to guest stay. Beds were very soft. Felt like someone's basement storage first, guest accomodation second.

The location was good, and we had a warm greeting from the host. Two single bed in the lounge room and queen and single in the bedroom. The solid (like very solid) front door was a talking point. Basic kitchen and frig with everything we needed. Woke to birds chirping in the morning, and a pleasant little stream bubbling beside the property. Heating worked well for the chilly night. The view from the wharf just down the road from the Red Shed is beautiful, as is the whole district.

The kitchen bench looked more like a bar which didn't worry me but my wife (who is a bit vertically challenged) said she couldn't prepare things on a bench that high. so instead of doing it on the dining table she gave me breakfast cooking duties. The long driveway is fairly long and narrow so needed careful backing in the dark

Very eclectic. Needs a bit of a spruce up in general was comfortable .
