Next time I would like to find gown and sleepers belonging to the guest house

The caretaker welcomed us and gave a choice of the different rooms available. the bedding and bed was super comfortable. the location and views were amazing the caretaker supplied us with boiling water from a gas stove when loadshedding was on so we can have coffee - must have coffee ;-)

there was only an electrical stove....a gas stove , just a 1 plate cadac would be amazing. loadshedding was terrible and at very inconvient times. i know it is not mont rouge's fault, but still, would be that extra mile that would have made the facility 10 out of 10

I loved the rooms and the garden. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was premium Egyptian cotton which I LOVE. The rooms were clean and smelled good. A special touch was each room had a fireplace which came in handy and it reminded me of home.

Our host was not welcoming in fact, he was extremely interrogative and overwhelmingly subtle in his perception of us. It made us feel unwelcome and if he could we would have cancelled our booking. He even suggested we find another accommodation which he would help us with. Seemingly black Africans make a lot noise and they also invite outsiders into the property. He warned us more than 5 times not to make noise and how he didn't want to call security onto the property. What I found extremely strange and undermining is his request for us to pay in cash only. What kind of an establishment or property that gets booked online would request a cash payment. "He clearly didn't trust us or he was looking for a way to deter us from staying there". Its so unfortunate that in this day and age we still need to deal with this prejudice. It very uncalled for and very unpleasant.
