This is a beautiful and well appointed guest house in a stunning setting. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Love the modern rooms. The room has everything you need. The setting is so beautiful, the garden is exquisite. Love the farm animals. A perfect spot to unwind will definitely be back

Beautiful modern finishes. Very comfortable bedding. Complimentary water, tea and coffee and nougats daily. Short drive into Clarens.

For me there are three big issues with this property. The first is privacy. Right next to the accommodation is a restaurant which was thankfully closed on the Monday and Tuesday. However on the Sunday we experienced what it is like staying here while the restaurant is open and busy. There is no real divide between the lawn where the restaurant tables are and the front of the accommodation. A bit of a hedge or even a sign asking restaurant guests not to move past a certain point would make a big difference. Subsequently while sitting in bed in my pjs, with the curtains and patio door open a group of 5 adults, coffees in hand, stood in a semi circle in front of our accommodation looking straight into our room. Only after getting up, closing our door and curtains did they finally move on. A few minutes later two teen girls were in-front of our accommodation taking photos. It spoiled the stay for me. You already do not have a big room and to then feel that you cannot open your curtains was a problem for me. The second issue was that the accommodation description did not fit what we got. The description stated that there is a barbecue. We certainly didn’t have one, the houses next to us either, and I couldn’t see any other area where braai facilities were available. We also didn’t get a complimentary bottle of wine as the description states. We did however get teabags, coffee and waters. The third and most frustrating issue for me was the lack of communication. They communicated well until we were at the property. We arrived on the Sunday, and still received communication from them on the Sunday. I sent them a Whatsapp on the same day of arriving to clarify if the braai facility is somewhere else, sent them a screen shot of their room description on the Monday, I got blue ticked but unfortunately until now (a week later) we have still received no reply.
