Char Bungalows

Good, beautiful location, quiet, but the little beach gets crowded during the day. You need a bike if you want to go to bars etc. There are just three places at the beach / char, banana rock and siam cookies (good pad thai). The room with AC was fine, had warm shower water and good bed. So, in this regard, no issues. Good location for snorkeling. Some bike rentals will give you mask for free. *e.g. Ollis rentals.

The host / a lady / is terribly unhospitable and irritated with her life in general. Also, comparing to my previous trips in Thailand, there are just too many turists on Koh Tao and locals are just sick of us. And this also shows in Char. For example, I really hated the fact that when ordering smoothies they just filled the whole cup with ice and little fruits. even If I said no ice. The lady never greeted or returned "thank you" or "hi". In general, the feel of Thailand was just not there (or anywhere for that matter). Again, too many people on the island and probably not the problem of Char bungalows per se. For those who are not looking for parties or diving , select a different island. Or destination.

Utsikten var fantastisk och väldigt vacker strand. Ägaren var väldigt hjälpsam och erbjöd prisvärd taxiservice. Riktigt prisvärt

Ägaren var extremt hjälpsam men det kan man inte säga om resten av personalen. Ingen känsla för service i restaurangen. Man får inte maten samtidigt som den i sitt sällskap och dom glömde bort ordrar och gav fel mat. Ingen känsla för att vara trevliga heller

Location is beautiful. Lovely beach and amazing views.

Rats and cockroaches in rooms. Windows don’t lock. Asked for money back. Owner became aggressive and pretended to cry. Threatened to call the police. Attached photos of rat droppings and damage done by rats. Stay here at your own risk.
