Casa de Khasia

Goede communicatie met de host! We voelden ons thuis. Op verzoek werd het ontbijt vervroegd zodat we verder konden met onze reis! Heerlijk ontbijt gekregen. De wijk is rustig en het huis is prachtig. Lekker om aan het einde van de dag even op het balkon te zitten om een boekje te lezen.

The house is centrally located within walking distance of both bus and train stations (google maps provide accurate directions). The outside of the house is meticulously maintained by the owners (a couple) with lovely garden and lots of flowers around. This is probably one of the most beautiful properties in the area. The owner is a wonderful woman who speaks good English and will be helpful in any way she can (they called a pottery manufacturer that I wanted to visited; kindly offered her tickets to cultural event at Zugdidi palace; called a marshrutka to inquire about a van leaving for Mestia the next day). You feel during your stay that you are part of their family. Breakfast is fantastic with so many choices that it's impossible to finish everything what's served even if you try a little bit a variety. It's one of the best breakfasts I had during my travels around Georgia. My room was clean and had all necessary toiletries, even a tooth paste.

Lack of shower curtain in the bathroom. I really don't like to take showers when water splatters everywhere in the bathroom. Bed mattress was hard and creaked with every turn. My back was a bit stiff and sore after sleeping on a hard mattress.

Breakfast was absolutely incredible and I love Zugdidi

Amazing on so many fronts - I only wish we could have stayed longer! Gia & Rusudan were the most hospitable hosts, and their place felt like home away from home ❤️ The beds were so comfortable, the house was immaculate & breakfast was so generous & excellent!! I would make a stop in zugdidi just to stay here again ☺️
