The price was on the low side for Kraiova, which attracted us. Good supermarket on the ground floor (not part of the pension), open till 22:00.

Nobody from the staff speaks english. Once I called them they told me 'message whatsapp' and hang up the phone. Communication was borderline non-existent, but we somehow managed to find the entrance, the room and get the keys. Right...room 16 has NO windows apart from 1 on the top/roof. You get to open it with a long pole(!) kindly provided by the host. Very noisy ventilator in bathroom, which tends to suck bad smell from the waste water canal. The 'free parking' is basically the street below - we had to leave our motorcycles just like that - on the sidewalk. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in their right mind, to be honest.

The location is great, it was about 15 minutes of walking to the train station. This was the main reason why I chose this location.

It started with checking in. I arrived at the door, which was closed and no bell. So I called the contact number, someone not able to speak English picked up, gave the phone to someone else and she said "he'll be there soon". It then took a good 25 minutes before a man arrived. He didn't even say hello, just opened the door for me and when we were upstairs he said that I had to pay in cash even though he had my card details through booking. I thus had to go out to get cash. After I gave him the cash he showed me the room, didn't give me a key, it was in the door I found out later. His English was bad so he told me through Google translate where to leave the key when checking out and then said "okay bye" and left. I did not feel welcome at all, I really felt like I was bothering him. The room was clean in general but there was a very strange smell, a bit like sewage, especially in the bathroom. It was not nice. The bathroom got all wet when showering because there was no shower curtain and there were weird stains on furniture and walls. The neighbourhood was not that pleasant either, but I think that's just Craiova in general. It was an overnight stop for me, so it was fine-ish but I really have no idea why this place has an 8/10 on Booking.

Fair value for the price. The owner was helpful. Nicely decorated and the furniture is all OK. Fine for an overnight stop.

The twin room was small and had a slight smell of sewage. The shower floods the bathroom.

It's located in a very quiet area, right next to a Profi Mart and very convenient for people departing from the Craiova bus or train station. Clean and friendly as well.
