Fanni Budapest Guesthouse

The location is very good - right between Keleti and 100E airport bus stop. The room was tiny, not shiney clean and very basic but ok for 1 night, and the bathroom was pretty good. It was quiet during the night and we could sleep. The yard of the house looks gorgeous and feels like you dropped out of the city.

Be prepared you will need to go to the main reception in about 300 m from this spot to get the key and you leave a deposite which means you also need to come back when checking out as well. It's not a big deal but might be hard when you arrive or depart at night or have lots of luggage or kids. This also means you need to have some cash with you. So called kitchen in the hostel looks dirty, outdated and non-functional. There is a kettle but no socket unless you want to crawl under a table and unplug whatever is there already. There were no mugs or plates or anything else except 1 cup and maybe 1 plate but nothing else (unless they were elsewhere but the cupboard). The rooms at the pics have windows but ours had some kind of fake window with no day light.

Apart from the location, nothing was very good.

Really nice staff, very responsive and helpful. The price was excellent, room was a decent size, facing a courtyard so quiet, and the shower worked fine.

Beds/bedding could do with replacing. They were clean, just felt a little old and not that comfortable but can’t really complain because was so affordable.
