We were so lucky to find this place at short notice due to a cancellation. Excellent position close to the town and Fitz park and Derwent water. The room was excellent and the breakfast was delicious couldn't fault it. Will definitely be going back.

There wasn't anything to not like.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abercourt! A lovely bonus was that our room was ready on arrival at 10.45! We turned up early just to park and get on with our day as the weather was gorgeous but we were able to check in! We were told this is because they are only open weekends up until this time of year so Im sure that will not be the case through the summer but we were very grateful for that! The room was clean and had everything we needed! Tea, coffee and water provider. En suite was lovely, shower hot and powerful. Breakfast was amazing, I had the muesli and fruit and plenty of tea and toast with my full English. You can choose the day before and its cooked to order! Location was fantastic, literally a min walk front or back and you are in the square! And then at the top of the road is the river and Fitz Park. You are close to everything! Finally, the hosts could not do enough for us and were absolutely lovely! Couldn't fault this place!

Had private parking and was close to the town centre. The breakfast was excellent and everything was very clean. Liked having a bottle of water in the room and the tea and coffee facilities were good.

The bedroom (3) was freezing cold when we arrived, I don’t think it’s used much so radiator must have been turned off. The bed was too firm for me and the shower wasn’t very good, just a cold trickle. There were 32 stairs up to the room and as you have to walk uphill to get to the property, you were very glad to sit down!!

The Cumbrian breakfast was amazing, with home made muesli, and a tasty cooked breakfast.
