DEFriendly staff, new rooms with good equipment, nice breakfast.
Rooms were very humid, the sheets a little smelly. The room was also very noisy from other tourists and the nearby kitchen area.
DEThe staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful. The location was great, and we could easily rent a scooter to get around the island for the entirety of our stay. Meeting other guests and chatting with them in the communal dining area (in the morning and evening) was nice. The staff here even helped us set up a private fishing tour with the neighbors which was a memorable experience! The rates were also very affordable. All in all a positive experience.
I found this "homestay" to be something between a hostel and a hotel. We had an individual room with our own bathroom, but the overall space had more of a communal vibe. It's not something to complain about necessarily, but I wasn't totally aware of it when we booked it. The beds were quite hard and unfortunately uncomfortable. Being a homestay, you could also hear quite a lot of noice from neighbors and breakfast preparation.
