The Palm Guest House

Everything!! Great hospitality by Manen. I actually stayed at the guest house for 4 nights and it was amazing. The view from the window is great, and the place is maintained very well. They also help out with planning your visit and treks. Its away from all the noise in the market, yet walkable. You can take shared taxis to the market.

Meh, nothing!

The menu is brief. But it's made fresh and made to specifications. The chicken and pork thalis are very very tasty and filling. It's a small kitchen and has limited options naturally, but that's so much better than promising the moon. The people make the place. So welcoming and warm. I casually mentioned to Manen, the owner that I wanted to pick up a yoga mat. He remembered and called me from town on other work, asking me what kind of yoga mat he could pick up for me. Heart warming stay. I will only be staying here when I'm in Kohima.

It's not in the heart of town, but then you would know that if you check the location. Local taxis are available a few steps away and so is easy to commute into town and back, if expensive (if not using shared taxi).

- Mannan and his team are very hospitable and kind. -The place has a great view and the location is not too far from the Catholic Cathedral -The rooms are spacious, western washrooms and hot water. -Clean, Comfortable beds and they give toiletries! -Good thali options and breakfast facilities

-Difficult to find as it is on a side road. A sign board would be very helpful. - A water kettle in the room would be extremely helpful. - A wall or ceiling fan would be good. - It would be good to have a breakfast included option.
