The sea view and the breakfast, absolutely exceptional.

I can't really say it had anything to do with me. However, I am very observant. Just as a point of advise, the facilities need constant maintenance. The yard was exceptional, but if the building is not properly cared for, it will deteriorate. It is acknowledgeable that such is challenging for a facility near the ocean/in a coastal area, however, consistent every 3 year painting of the building, and thorough cleaning of visible areas, would maintain the high quality it already is. I took a walk and compared, The Homestead has the best sea view, undoubtedly. On the wall of my bathroom was a notice about a burst pipe, which requested me to shower between 07:00am and 09:00am as well as between 19:00 and 21:00. I was not too happy about this notice and further disappointed when I checked with a staff member who told me that the notice was old. On my last day there was a water cut, which made it even more confusing for me as to what to believe. I would recommend that the staff be efficient in keeping the client updated with such information and accurate information as well, even during their stay. Lastly, it took me a while to warm up to the staff. I later learned that Belinda, the lady who managed the place was new and hence I understood her extremely reserved and yet professional approach to things. Some of the dining room staff had straight faces, almost with no expression, which was a bit uncomfortable for me on the first day, but yet very professional. The cleaning staff were top tier and very helpful and sometimes noisy, but bearable. Either than that, I am grateful for an awesome peaceful stay and blessings to Belinda and the staff.

The building needs a lot of maintenance and public access road is very poor. In its day this facility would have been one of the best in Margate.

Everything, the staff was friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements, and the food was delicious. My trip was delayed, so I checked in later than the ETA, but I arrived to a friendly Vusi patiently waiting for me. Great place. Everyone is so efficient. The views are breathtaking. The place is exactly as in the photos.
