"Quiet and well located, but with difficult staff and could really use a deep clean"

Old traditional house, had the place to ourselves.

Extra fee if arriving after 17:00. Communal kitchen lacks basic cooking products. Futon were super thin - had to use four to get some comfort.

"Authentic stay at a Japanese countryside Kominka"

A genuine 300 year old Kominka house adjacent to a pottery studio at which the owners run lessons. The architecture is great and the old lady who runs and cleans the property is A*. The facilities are modernised and clean.

The walls are a little thin but it’s unlikely you’ll ever be there with other guests.
